At the Age of 13...
Teenagers start doing different things more than when they still feel like children. So now, they start dating girls and viceversa. They feel like they can now do different things; no the ones that they used to do. They start setting different and new expectations from their lives. Now, they have grown up and they want to go out to the movies, go out to a party.
At the age of 14 to maturity...
Teens are looking for their own identity. They still are not able to control their behaviour. They start collecting different experiences by their own. They do not want to be asked to do what adults ask. Although they have more intellectual capacities to memorize things; it is a big risk to state over their lifes unpleasant and immemorial circunstances.
In general, teens start going ahead by facing many obstacles in their lives. Therefore, they must be protected and guided by someone mature. But, parents do not have to overprotect them; by the contrary, teens expect to be heard and treated like a friend.
It is important to notice that teens' brain are capable to reach their goals by responding to different stimulus in an active way. For this reason, it is crucial to take into account leave them working in cooperative work.
